40 Days with Still: Day 30, March 24

As she starts to feel God's presence again, Winner realizes that she is becoming reacquainted with Jesus as "mother, bread of life, author of my salvation, the bright morning star" (p. 161). What are some names you would give to Jesus, especially in this stage of your life?

I love this question, but don't have an answer...yet. When I was in Jerusalem, one of the holy sites had this powerful mosaic, depicting Jesus as the mother hen (Matt 23: 37--O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing). I wonder if I'm drawn more to the image of being gathered than to the mother hen, and perhaps both the gathering and mothering together is part of what I love about this image.

I'm still thinking on names for JC...

Naming is elusive.

I AM sure covers all the bases at any given time.

I guess I don't have a poetic bone in my body.
