Hi All:
Apologies for not posting yesterday. It was an unexpectedly long day that was beautiful and holy and, well, long. I got home around 10:30 and frankly forgot to post. So sorry!
Anyhoo...I'll be posting twice.
I'm enjoying this book journey. Thanks for all who are participating!!

Exorcism; Blessing
Winner feels that her home needs both an exorcism, to remove the negative parts of herself and her history that have been taking up space there, and a blessing, to affirm the goodness of her house, her faith, and her future. When have you, literally or metaphorically, needed a combination of exorcism and blessing to start healing and move forward?
For later Day 12, please read pages 53-59

Good question! Slippery slopes ahead. Have you read the book People of the Lie: The Hope for Healing Human Evil by M. Scott Peck?
Are you proposing that the author feels that her negative parts of herself and her history are evil?
Was it not the authro who makes that suggestion.
That brings up the question, "what is evil" - if we took evil as sin, that (throght or action or intention) which seperates us from God her unhappiness in her marriage and behaviors towards her husband could be evil. But I am not convinced that sin and evil are the same.
What do you think the difference is between sin and evil?
Now that I am a deacon I feel I have to do some research before I respond to the difference between sin and evil.
You have any ideas or thoughts?
Maybe Sarah will comment?
I think it is very complex and one that the Church skirts around all of the time. That's why I put the question out there and I don't believe any of us can answer it with a couple of blogs.
And, we haven't even touched the subject of personification of evil, i.e. Satan.
I'm looking forward to Sarah's comments.
